Hi! My name is
Emilia Ivan.

I am an International Lactation Consultant IBCLC and I support mothers with feeding problems whether breast, bottle or combination feeding; education and training for mothers and for healthcare professionals.

My background in general medicine provided the basis of a continuing interest in infant and maternal health. Then my personal interest in breastfeeding, also my own child-led to more formal education in lactation and breastfeeding.

I have extensive knowledge about breastfeeding, I am qualified, experienced, insured, independent International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC). I am fully insured and a member of Lactation Consultants of Great Britain and International Lactation Consultant Association.

In addition to my private lactation practice, I update myself regularly by attending national and international conferences.

My aim is to provide high-quality care to all mothers, babies and children with whom I consult. My advice is based on valid evidence and many years of clinical experience.

A 90 minute to two hour home visit or office consultation where a thorough medical history for mother and baby will be taken, the baby’s tongue action and breastfeeding technique will be assessed, the mechanics of breastfeeding and milk production will be explained, and a plan of action will be put in place to get breastfeeding back on track.
